Saturday night Donny Schatz took center stage with a big win at the Bad Boy Off Road World Finals at The Dirt Track in Charlotte, NC. This marked the end of the Sprint Car season, as well as the 2016 Stampede Ride and Drive Tour.
The weather could not have been any better for both of these events. There wasn’t a cloud in sight Friday or Saturday. This led to dryer than normal track conditions. Luckily Charlotte Motor Speedway was gracious enough to loan us their water truck that we were able to use to help settle the dust. However, back inside the oval a storm was brewing. Donny Schatz carved his path in the blue groove and led the pack to his 25th win of the season.
Back at the Bad Boy Off Road tent, fans were testing their own limits at the Stampede Ride & Drive course that was set up directly outside of the gates. Rollers, whoops and tabletops formed the short demo course that drew hundreds of people to see for themselves what all the noise was all about. Two lucky winners also got to take some hot laps with Donny Schatz himself after his autograph session inside the Textron Off Road booth each day.
The mood inside the Bad Boy Off Road booth was electric, partially due to the limited edition Electric Blue Recoil iS on display, and partially due to all the attention the brand new 4-passenger Stampede XTR was getting as it wore its own Electric Blue color scheme. The Stampede XTR is the Stampedes bigger sister, featuring all the same benefits of the 2-pass Stampede including an 80 HP EFI engine (best in class), and 59-ft-lbs of torque, as well as a larger 30 cubic feet (best in class) of storage space and room for 4 people. Visit badboyoffroad.com to learn more about the XTR.
HUGE shout out to the thousands of people that took the challenge and got behind the wheel of the all new Stampede 4x4. This has been an amazing journey and we hope to see you all next year with more exciting news!
